At JuliFlow we want everyone to be able to read about the workshops and training, get in touch and sign up easily, with dignity and independence.
Accessibility level
The site has been adapted to the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013, and to Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on WCAG 2.0 at level AA. The site was tested in the Chrome browser on desktop and in a mobile view.
What we did
- A proper structure of headings, navigation and content areas, with the correct language and text direction on every page.
- Full keyboard navigation, including a "Skip to content" link and a clear focus indicator.
- Alternative text for meaningful images. Images and decorations that carry no information are hidden from screen readers.
- Colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for normal text.
- Forms with visible labels, marked required fields and clear error messages that screen readers announce.
- A mobile-friendly layout and support for enlarging text.
- Respect for the operating system's "reduce motion" setting: when it is on, the site's animations are off.
The accessibility menu
In the corner of the screen there is a round accessibility button with a person icon. It opens a menu where you can enlarge or shrink text, turn on high contrast, highlight links, switch to a more readable font and stop all animations. Your preferences are saved in your browser for next time, and you can reset them at any moment.
Physical accessibility
Workshops: Juli comes to wherever the workshop takes place, usually the home of the person booking or a place she chooses, so an accessible venue can be chosen.
Training: sessions take place in the Sderot area, at a venue that is not accessible is not accessible to people with disabilities. It has no physical accessibility arrangements, such as disabled parking, step-free access or accessible toilets.
